My Creative Space...

I want to say that my creative space hummed again last night, but it would probably be stretching the truth rather a lot! Possibly a more accurate description is that it ambled along! LOL...
Progress was slow, but at least it was progress...

Some cute hairclips...

close ups of a couple of my favourite hairclip makes
A close up of a couple of my favourites...

Some cute pouches...

I love that Cath Kidson Duckcloth - it's so lovely!!

And here they all are together...

Last nights makings...

As you can see I also tried sewing with the laminated cotton that arrived earlier in the week. I think I will be seeing about getting a teflon foot before attempting it again, but it came out ok.
I quite like it so will put it to good use myself if it doesn't sell on Saturday - a girl can never have too many bags right?! :D

You should see my office now though. Total.and.utter.chaos!

That's it for me now for market, I've had enough and am officially giving up for this time. Too bad if I don't have enough stuff... Next time I will leave myself months to sew for one and not book into one 3 weeks put! That was a bit mad really, but I'm doing it together with 2 friends, so we won't need much each to fill up the space.
It's way more fun and easy to be creative when you're not working under pressure to a deadline!!

More creative spaces over here...

Those clips are so cute!! And I already think you're the queen of pouches. I think it's fun that you're sharing a stall with your friends. I bet you sell everything and have a great day.

Love the fabric combo on that pouch! And very cute clips :)

I'm not sure whether the laminated cotton sews like vinyl (i.e. slippery) but here is a handy tip: http://www.futuregirl.com/craft_blog/2008/7/sewing-vinyl.aspx. Hope it helps! x

Ugh, I need to learn how to post links!!

Either put a piece of tissue paper between the laminated cotton and the presser foot or stick masking tape to the bottom of your presser foot and you should have no problems! Love your pouches as always! Such great fabrics!!!

Your pouches and clips look really great!

the outcome was great! I have a teflon foot I picked up from Amazon for £5, so they're not bank-breaking, and they work great with oilcloth

Sorry! I should have also said that I have a good (hopefully) plan going for Blankets of Love. Will get things moving this weekend!

You make lovely stuff and it will sell. I am sure of it. Feet up tomorrow (today for you when you are reading this) and rest up for Saturday.

That looks like a 'humming' lot of work done to me. :D
Good luck in your booth - hope all 3 of you sell out - and maybe take some orders? Just add on for postage....
