** Not much crafting news to report here at the moment...
** After my terrible sewing session on Sunday I went into a bit of a sulk...
** Then yesterday I ran over a bolt and thought I was going to have to get a new tyre this morning. DOH! Wasn't looking forward to having to find the money for that at all... so it did not help my sulk.
** You know the sort of sulk I mean?
In my case: "Woe is me, my husband has to go back to work again and my sewing is turning to poo..." blah blah blah....
- highly productive stuff of course! ;)
** But this morning I decided to wake up with a fresh attitude.
- First order of the day - clean my grotto of a house & make it somewhat liveable. That always helps my frame of mind!
- Second order of the day - go get my tyre fixed...
** The fresh attitude seemed to work wonders & it also turned out to be my lucky day because the bolt hadn't actually punctured my tyre and I didn't need a new one. They didn't even charge me to take my tyre off and test it bless them.
** I wish I'd taken a photo of the bolt, because it was fairly sizeable - but lets just say that miracles do happen!!
** Then we went and had a lovely morning tea/lunch with a friend & her two kiddies. Followed by another play date this afternoon with another friend and her three kiddies.
** I'm so grateful for good friends!!
** So I'm sorry that there's no sewing news (that I have photos of) - but hopefully my energy from this dumb virus will come back asap & I'll have more to show soon.
** In the meantime I'm enjoying some more downtime with my girls (and downloaded versions of Greys Anatomy - which I confess could be another reason for the slowdown in productivity!)

That was lucky with the tyre, bless them for checking it out for you!
I get sewing / craft flumps, I just can't get the ideas from my head into any kind of creativeness. Just have go with and pootle along with house work.
Two playdates in one day, jeez, don't know how you do it!!
Greys was so good this weeks! I love the McSteamy/Avery bromance going on :-)
Feel better soon!
Urgh to ongoing mojo loss, but yay to the bolt not causing any damage, and to loads of Greys to watch :o)
Keep going Kat - glad to hear all is well with the tire! I`ve ground to a halt with sewing and blogging but hope to be back with something soon.
Yeah to nit having to replace the tyre. Boo to no mojo. Glad you had a good day with the girls and friends though. You deserve the down time. Remember you were I'll for quite a while. Your body is probably still trying to get back some energy levels.
I think we all have weeks like yours. Sometimes you just have to go with the flow creatively speaking and find something little to do until the funk passes. And if that ends up being watching episodes of Grey's Anatomy then so be it!
Good news about the tyre though.
I'm glad you didn't have to buy a new tire - I'm close to needing to replace all of mine. ugh.
Sometimes you just need a breather - especially after the other day's sewing!
As Bobby McFerrin sang: "Don't worry - be happy!"
there is a silver lining you were lucky about that bolt :-)
I've got a laugh for you - when you said you ran over a bolt, my mind immediately thought of a bolt of fabric. So I sat here thinking what a tragedy, & hopefully it didn't get too dirty, & HOW IN THE WORLD did you manage to run over a bolt of fabric, && what in the world was a bolt of fabric doing on the ground outside?!? All in the time it took me to get to the part about having to buy a new tire!
