Tuesday Tidbits...

**  I'm sooooooo tired today! (Read between the lines: that means grumpy as well ;) )

**  Two nights of minimal sleep in a row & a case of pmt does not a happy Kat make!

**  Last nights lack of sleep possibly had something to do with the following experience? Maybe?

**  I was relaxing on my bed last night, answering emails on my laptop (and procrastinating sewing) and all of a sudden I see a THING jump beside me and land on my laptop - never good if you live in Australia. You never know what it will be!

**  Want to see what said THING was?!

**  First please know that it took my heart about an HOUR to stop pounding afterwards!!

sorry for the terrible pic - I wasn't exactly going to leave it there for long to get a photo!

**  Yes, that is a little baby FROG!!! EEEK!!!!!!!!!

**  On. my. BED!!???

**  I promise you that I do not live in a grotto!

**  That's what I get for leaving our sliding door open a little bit during a thunder & lightening storm so that my dog could go in and out without disturbing me. Apparently my dog wasn't the only thing coming in & out!!!

**  I should say that I live across the road from a lake, so we often get frogs in our yard.
But not usually in our house!

**  But wait - there's more!
The frog had also bought a friend with it! When I went to check on the girls I saw it in the hallway just outside my girls' bedroom.

**  So I had to go chasing the hoppy little fellow down my hallway to try and trap it under a glass and set it free outside. GAH!

**  Giving you nice mental picture is it?

**  That experience soooooo did nothing to relax me on the first night alone again (since Neil flew back to work yesterday morning), and also during a HUGE thunder & lightening storm. Fun, fun, fun!

**  On the plus side I got some more marvellous mail today! That has certainly helped brighten my mood.

**  Some bee blocks arrived (from my month in August) that I thought had been lost in the mail! That was a happy happy surprise!

**  Also a "little" of my black Friday/cyber Monday sale spending arrived in 2 separate parcels:

New Stashing

**  I'm ashamed to say that there is more due to arrive any day as well.

**  But who can beat $7.95AU per metre for Heather Ross Mendicino or Tanya Whelan?! And the rest were all such great prices too!

**  I also picked up these gorgeous home decor weight prints at Spotlight a few days ago on clearance for $3 per metre - so cheap!

New Stashing

**  I'm thinking that it will make lovely bags :)

**  In other news we went to our final term time break up today - wahooo!

**  Quite excited that we have a long break before things start back in February.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE all our term time activities, it's just nice to have some flexibility back in the schedule again so that we'll be able to have some lazy mornings & impromptu picnics etc!!

**  Plus more swims since (with the last few days of thunder storms excluded) it's getting so hot nowadays

**  And finally - did you know that it's 12 more sleeps till Christmas?

**  Are you ready?

**  I am! Because that means that it's only 10 more sleeps until Neil gets home again. Yay!

**  I'm not organised though - but that's not what I asked ;)

Don't forget to enter my two giveaways here & here if you haven't already. They finish on the 17th December.

Brilliantly well written post! But nothing beats the email I got last night when the frog actually landed on your laptop mid typing!!

I'd rather a frog than a spider any day. I can just imagine that email to Susan:)

Nothing beats a great fabric bargain!

Hope your next 10 sleeps are much better.

Ooh my cat and I had a game with a mouse she was determined to bring in and I was equally keen to keep out! She won but when I picked up the still living mouse by the tail she preferred to go back outside in the rain! What unexpected fun!

Eeewwwweeee! So with you on the grumpy/tired stakes, a good nights sleep made me a happier bunny this morning :) But beautiful fabrics all the same!

Yes, I'm sure that frog got you going quicker than any amount of caffeine ever could!! That sounds quite startling. But I do think its wonderful that you took the time to collect it and return it outdoors. I agree with Marg above-- I'd rather a frog than a spider any day. Love your fabric purchases-- and you did get them at a great price. I took advantage of some of the on-line Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, too. I'll have to share. Hope you have a better day and are able to catch up on your sleep!

Yikes to frogs in the house! No wonder you had difficulties calming down and getting to sleep!
I can confirm that the flowery material makes a great bag. Well done getting such a great bargain.

EEK! a FROG in YOUR bed!!???ohhhhhh SHUDDER.... I see the occasional frog outside and sometimes nasty toads, but not inside! ha ha- no sorry for you.... what does your husband do since he travels so much? and are you in school or a teacher? we have winter break soon, the college is off now, our friend from singapore left for home today or will in a few hours, my kids don't get out of school until the 20th.... I need to catch up on the quilting, long arm quilting is hard when the kids are home, piecing on the machine I can easily stop and go but if I'm in the FLOW with quilting I really hate being interrupted!

All I can say is better you than me. You're younger and can run after those frogs faster! LOL (Have fun with your new little friends!)

You are hilarious!! I would have jumped a mile as well! Not that I don't like frogs I just don't like being surprised!

Bwahahaha, sorry, I'm trying not to laugh at the froggy visuals, but I'm not really succeeding :oD Hope you got them all evicted!

Loving your purchases too, enjoy!

Did you have to change your undies? I've never had a frog sharing my bed but a spider probably evokes the same feelings of terror.

Glad you vanquished the amphibians and lived to write the tale.

And I love that stack of fabrics. I haven't been blogging about my recent purchases because I'm too ashamed of the sheer volume of them !
